Hi, I’m Lisa Rusden (Pedersen) and I am the pharmacist and owner of Tarawera Pharmacy. 

 

I was born in Kawerau in 1987 and spent the first 16 years of my life living in Kawerau and the surrounding rural area. From an early age, I developed a passion for helping people and at age 7, decided that I wanted to follow in my Poppa and Uncle’s footsteps and become a pharmacist. 

 

I graduated from Otago University in 2008 and returned to the area to complete my internship at Kawerau and Edgecumbe pharmacies where I continued to work for the next 4 years before leaving to do locum work around the Eastern Bay. 

 

At the end of 2013, the opportunity arose for me to open my own business in Kawerau and I am excited to be back to my roots, loving the friendly faces and lovely customers that we are seeing- some of who still remember me from when I was a child.

 

This first year has been an exciting year as we strive to provide the Kawerau community with fast, friendly service at the best price.

Zhantellie (Tellie)

Kia ora, my name is Zhantellie Te Riini and I a Pharmacy Technician at Tarawera Pharmacy.

 

I completed secondary school at Kawerau College in 2011 and moved onto tertiary study to complete a New Zealand Diploma in Business Studies, while also having a baby girl – Audrina who is now 5 years old. I was born and raised in Kawerau and really enjoy living here. I’m very excited about my new career path and determined to provide Kawerau with a great service. My hobbies include boxing, soccer and spending time with my family and friends.
